Scale MySQL Instance

Welcome to the Morpheus Minute. Today we’re going to manually scale a MySQL instance Morpheus provides the ability to easily scale application instances, then automatically configures backups, logging and monitoring. In this case, let’s scale the MySQL server we previously deployed. To scale a MySQL Server Click Provisioning, Instances, then click the name of the Instance to be scaled Click the Actions drop down, then click add MySQL Slave. Pick the cloud to store the new node in. (Morpheus automatically chooses a cloud where the existing instance doesn’t reside.) Click execute. Now Morpheus creates a new backup of the existing instance behind the scenes and deploys a new MySQL Instance using that backup. It then configures the master/slave relationship and syncs the binlogs That’s it! Thanks for watching this Morpheus Minute.
