Welcome to the Morpheus Minute. Today we’re going to talk about Apps. Morpheus Apps are a quick and easy way to package multiple instances like web servers, middleware, and databases into a single, easy to deploy application. There are several app templates that come from Morpheus by default. Apps can be created from existing instances and new templates can be created to define application stacks common to your needs. This Morpheus minute covers App creation from an existing template. When an app is provisioned within Morpheus, backups, logging, and monitoring are all automatically configured. To provision an App from a template within Morpheus, Click Provisioning, Apps, then click Add App. Choose the template to use, Fill in the name and optional description, then click configure. In this case we’re going to deploy a Tomcat and MySQL application. Pick the group, choose the mysql version. Choose an instance configuration. Single Master in this case Choose the Plan Give it a mysql root password. Then Enter an Admin username and password For Tomcat, select the version Choose an instance configuration and plan. Then click save. Morpheus now provisions the app and underlying instances. That’s it! Now you’re ready to create a database and deploy a web app! Thanks for watching this Morpheus Minute.
