Welcome to the Morpheus Minute. Today we’re going to deploy a MySQL instance Morpheus provides the ability to easily deploy application instances, then it automatically configures backups, logging and monitoring. One of the most common Open Source Database Servers is MySQL. Let’s deploy one and take a look. To deploy a MySQL Server. Click Provisioning, Instances, then click Add Instance. Here you can search for an instance or filter based upon technology or cloud. Start typing in Mysql, click on it, then hit next. Choose which group it will live in Fill in the name, then select the environment. In this case, we’ll select Staging. Click Next. Now we configure the MySQL instance being deployed. Choose the version, Instance configuration, and storage plan. Then click next. Verify the information entered is correct, then click complete. Now Morpheus provisions the instance and sets up logging, backups, and monitoring. Since we’re back on the instances page, we can click on the name of our newly-deployed instance and view stats, configuration, or set up scaling. That’s it! Now you’re ready to use your new Mysql instance! Thanks for watching this Morpheus Minute.
