Partner Sales Engineer – EMEA

Morpheus is currently looking for an exceptional candidate for this exciting new position!

Morpheus Data is a rapidly expanding enterprise software company focused on multi-cloud management and DevOps workflow orchestration. To support our growth objectives this year we are increasing or investment in our Partnerships by expanding our Partner Team in EMEA to support the rapidly growing network of partners selling the Morpheus solution into our Enterprise customers 

As a key member of the EMEA team, you will work alongside the Partner and Territory Sales Teams to identify partners who can sell the Morpheus platform and then work with them to train the technical sales teams inside the partners and support them in all phases of the technical sale. 

As a Sales Engineer at Morpheus you will work with our ecosystem of 75+ integrations and applications including VMware, Openstack, AWS, Azure, Ansible, Terraform, ServiceNow, Terraform and more. You must have a practical understanding of cloud computing architecture with experience designing, deploying, and operating self-service provisioning and software automation. Experience both as a vendor and end-user customer are a plus to gain credibility when working alongside others undertaking digital transformation projects. 

Experience of working in the channel is a preference, particularly with large SI’s. 

Primary job responsibilities 

  • Work with the Territory Sales Team to build and implement a strategy to grow our customers and revenue in region 
  • Manage complex and varying sales cycles by securing the “technical close” 
  • Collaborate with and convince customers, prospects and partners of the technical validity and value add of the Morpheus solution at all levels within these organisations 
  • Research and write responses to technical sections of requests for information (RFIs) and requests for proposal (RFPs) 
  • Support pre-sales workshops, demonstrations, proofs of concepts, evaluations, and benchmarks 
  • Contribute to the team by sharing knowledge, documenting customer success stories, helping maintain the team lab environment, and participating in team initiatives 
  • Participate in internal meetings with Engineering, Product Management, and other teams to provide product, presentation, demos, or other crucial feedback 
  • Conduct workshops and facilitate engineering and pre-sales contacts with the partner ecosystem 
  • Along with the Territory Sales Manager, own and meet a revenue quota; perform regular reviews and reports about the opportunities that your assigned partners are working on 

Required skills 

  • 5+ years of experience working with a top-tier systems vendor or customer, either in cloud architecture, sales engineering, or a solutions architect role 
  • 8+ years of experience as sales or systems engineer, including building and implementing virtualization and cloud computing solutions, preferably in Private Infrastructure or Public Cloud 
  • Understanding of core compute, storage, and networking topology and devices 
  • Experience of Kubernetes and containerization in general 
  • Expertise in virtualization, ITSM, CI/CD, configuration management and other automation technologies 
  • Passion for learning new technologies and trends, coupled with the ability to rapidly absorb new information/put new concepts into play 
  • Exceptional analytical thought process/natural ability for solving complex technical and business problems 
  • Strong presentation skills and storytelling techniques to build credibility with prospects  
  • Excellent time and task management skills  
  • Excellent English written and verbal communication skills 
  • Preference for a second language of either German, French, Spanish or Italian.
  • Willingness to travel 25% to 50%, mostly within a limited geographical area with some occasional travel to other regions 
  • Skills in basic programming fundamentals and experience with Ruby, Python, Java, PHP, Git, Bash, or Powershell is a plus
