Manually Scale Tomcat

Welcome to the Morpheus Minute. Today we’re going to manually scale a tomcat instance Morpheus provides the ability to easily scale application instances, then automatically configures backups, logging and monitoring. In this case, let’s scale the tomcat server we previously deployed. To scale a tomcat Server Click Provisioning, Instances, then click the name of the Instance to be scaled Click the Actions drop down, then click add tomcat node. Pick the cloud to store the new node in. (Morpheus automatically chooses a cloud where the existing instance doesn’t reside.) Select how many nodes to add. In this case we’ll do one. Then click execute. Now Morpheus creates a new backup of the existing instance behind the scenes and deploys a new instance using that backup. That’s it! Now you can use the new tomcat node! In a future Morpheus minute, we’ll set up auto-scaling for our environment. Thanks for watching this Morpheus Minute.
