How to Add A VMware Server

[TRANSCRIPT]

Welcome to the Morpheus Minute. Today we’re going to add a server to our VMware Private cloud. Morpheus can provision data nodes for containerization or raw VMs running applications. All are managed, monitored, and protected by Morpheus. This Morpheus Minute covers deploying a standard Linux VM. To add a new Vmware Server, click Infrastructure in the main navigation bar. Then click Clouds. Click the name of the cloud where the server will be added. Then click the “Add Server” drop-down menu and select Vmware Linux node. Choose your template type – Default or custom. Custom gives you more advanced options. Click Advanced Options to configure custom network settings. Just like provisioning a VM in vCenter, pick your datastore, host, network, and hardware configuration. Give it a domain name, hostname, and choose network. For this environment, we’ll use DHCP. Verify the information on the review screen is correct. Then click complete. Give Morpheus a few minutes to complete the provisioning. That’s it! Thanks for watching this Morpheus Minute.
