Configure Website, App, or Server Monitoring in Morpheus

[TRANSCRIPT]

Welcome to the Morpheus Minute. Today we’re going to configure a check in Morpheus Monitoring. The Morpheus Platform is engineered to provide a full suite of tools to manage everything from infrastructure to applications. Along with that comes Monitoring. Morpheus has many checks built in for out of the box instances and applications. To configure a web check, click “Monitoring” in the main Nav, Checks, then Add Check. Enter a name for the check. Then select type. For this, we’ll select “Web Check”. Choose an interval for the check to be run. Then pick a severity. Severity sets the incident level when a check failure is triggered or noticed. The Affects Availability checkbox determines whether this check weighs into availability calculation. Enter a URL to check, then select a request method. Morpheus supports Get and Post. If the site needs authentication, enter a username and password. At the bottom of the check is criteria. If you’re testing for text to be returned, enter that here and select “Look for Text”. That’s it! Thanks for watching this Morpheus Minute.
